Window-shopping or finding the deals in the internet?

2011-05-19 04:55:14

It’s Monday. I wake up, pretend to do some excercise, have a quick shower, no, I don’t eat in the morning, I go to my balcony to have a cigarette, finally put my clothes on and start walking to my office which is just 5-minute walk away from my apartment.

I continue my day by answering emails and then start my thinking journey about what to do next. You know, working for yourself has a lot of benefits, but knowing what you should be doing at all times isn’t usually one of them. Quite a few hours from your working day could get lost this way. They do for me anyhow. And suddenly it is lunch time. Well, as it’s Monday and it was raining, I didn’t really get to my office before something like 11.30am. So, to be totally honest here, you can’t get much done before lunch at all, especially if you want to have a lunch at 12 or even 13pm, but that’s beside the point. In order to decide where to have lunch at, I usually check one local site which displays all the daily specials in my small town. I would of course prefer them to display the special prices of the daily specials, but unfortunately none of them seem to be offering anything. Bummer, I’d say. One way or another, once my choice is done, I go to lunch. Instead of walking to the town square and start looking for potential options to sit down, I do the research in the internet. It just seems to make sense to me.

And then I started thinking â€" or well, before saying anything further, I must say I usually don’t check anything else similar in the internet â€" why can’t there be any REALLY special deals out there for food and such. After just a short search, however, I realised that there are. For example, if you’re interested in Washington DC daily deals, you could just check something like Sociallyideal.com. If you’d like to check the same things, let’s say, in Estonia (you have heard about the country, right?), you could check out cherry.ee. They don’t display you only different food offers, but depending on the day, you can really find great deals in those places for different kinds of goods, often with discounts up to 70%.

So, the next time you’re looking for special deals, don’t go window shopping, go surfing, in the net.

Coffeeandlaptops.com

It's all about coffee and laptops and what you can do with them. Or more like what you do when you are doing it to them. Doing like using your laptop and drinking your coffee. When your laptop is on the table and coffee is sitting next to it, some people start to work, some people go to Facebook, some people pretend to work most of the time. I guess that's me.

If you're a dude, or dudette for the matter, have a laptop and like coffee, well...good for you! Me too!
