The Best Part of Wakin' Up is Folgers in Your Cup

Coffee, that's what it's all about, coffee in the morning. Folgers Coffee has turned the idea into a Jingle. Back in 1984 the original Jingle, "The Best Part of Wakin' Up is Folgers in Your Cup," composed by Leslie Pearl, debuted, and since then, thousands of versions have been recorded as part of the Folgers Jingle Contest.

Back in 2011 more than 3000 versions were submitted for the contest, many of them can still be seen on youtube and best of them, obviously, also on Folgers website.

This year Folgers is again inviting all ambitious musicians to create their own rendition of the jingle. It needs to be between 60 and 90 second, include the original lyrics and melody of the song (specific details about the requirements should be found at the contest website inside the toolkit). Your jingle needs to be submitted by March 6, 2013 and ten finalists will be chosen by a panel of judges by May 15th.

The Grand Prize winner of the Folgers Jingle Contest will win $25,000.
