Do you own a laptop? Do you often want or need to work in cafeterias? Coffee and laptops is meant for you. This site was started because I'm myself a major fan of coffee...and laptops. I have worked in cafeterias with free wireless internet for pretty much the past seven years. Even now that I actually have an office, I love working in cafeterias every once in a while. It's kind of an addiction you might say. Are you one of us?

One evening my laptop stopped functioning. Well, sort of, when I moved it around in the air, it worked again. And again. It's actually still working this way.
The next morning I started to look around for my next laptop. I didn't have many requirements, I just wanted to have a lightweight (1-1.8kg) machine with a good battery (4-10 hours). I was surprised to see that in the descriptions of most of the laptops, you can only learn that it has Li-ion battery with some number of volts and some cells. I'm not really at home with all those details. I really don't care about this stuff. I just want to know HOW LONG DOES THE BATTERY LAST? But this really is the last thing you can find out. I couldn't really find any good site that would give me this information.
And I started thinking, if there isn't one or there is one that is so bad in promotion that after hours of searching I couldn't find it, we SHOULD have one. And that's how this site came to be.
Initially I was thinking of just including the battery information but when you are moving around with your laptop, you could also use information about free wireless spots.
And if we have free wireless spots, why stop there. Without making things too confusing, we could also add a tinyminy blogging area. After all, we all get bored every once in a while and we all want to share our dissatisfaction or maybe rather some fun things with others just like us.
So...well, that's coffeeandlaptops.com - obviously, if I'll be the only one using this site it would be pretty worthless site. So I invite you and your friends to submit wireless areas, cafeterias and your laptop battery information as well. This way, maybe in a few months, we could really have a site that's actually useful. And useful is already something not very common in today's internet.
