Couple of years ago, when choosing a new laptop, all anyone really cared about was its speed, CPU, RAM and so on. While we all still have a look at those numbers as well, for most people (except gamers and graphics artists) all new laptops are great from this perspective.
These days, for a mobile person, a few other things matter a lot more. Things such as the laptop weight, whether you can work with it in the sun, whether you can get a laptop WITHOUT Windows Vista (that seems to screw up pretty much every computer out there) and battery. If you're a mobile person, like to work in cafeterias, travel a lot or just don't want to be searching for electricity all the time, you want a good battery.
And that's why we try to put a lot of our time finding out battery information for you. Or actually for me. Whenever you are learning about some laptop, it's often pretty darn hard to find good information about the laptop battery. Who the fark cares about the volts and cells and everything related. The main thing we want to know is how long the battery lasts, the battery duration! Yet, that's the information often the hardest to find.
